I would like to know how many systems are already in your db.
It could be shown between "recently updated" and "Search for a system".
To avoid further slowing down of the server it could be calculated once a day.
Like: 1024 Systems in DB(yesterday)

By the way how many bytes does one typical system use in the db?
Or when will there be no more space? Sad

hi there,

the number of known systems is displayed at the bottom of the universe page - atm it stands at 20,215.

The ED universe section uses around 5.5Mb. We will run out of space when the site uses another 4Gb (we are currently using 415 mb). So it will be awhile before we hit that number. If that does happen, then ill increase the plan and get more space, or even move it to my home server (with 640gb of HDD).

Space isnt the problem Smile

Err, I got glasses but i dont wear them while playing. Maybe I should do that in the future Undecided
