If I got it right(with glasses Smile

) there are three discovery scanners.
Problem for me I dont know the english .. names for them so I will try it this way:
The first (default) scanner is able to find within 500LS.
The second one(intermediate discovery scanner) costs 505.000CR(D1 for an adder) with 1000LS range.
But where is the *big* one?
Must be something with "advanced discovery scanner"? That device costs 1.545.000CR.
I am unable to add this equipment type as i have not found it in the outfitting list.

Well looking at the XML I had one of the scanners in the list, albeit with the wrong name. I have now added the other 2 and corrected the name of the other. The three scanners are;

Maybe you could add the Detailed Surface Scanner in the equipment.. thing too?

Im guessing its kind-of like a 4th scanner? ive added it btw.

It is those very special scanner who makes us see the contents of.. ring planets(iron/rocky/metal/ore)
Also it add more.. detailed data of atmospheres, ..
It makes explorings a bit more profitable..
Problem is you need one of those "ranged" scanner PLUS this device.

The scanners you have added until now only extends the scanner range (500ls/1000ls/whole system)
