When adding a new system it would be more comfortable to get NOT back to the universe map with SOL centered.
To see if the coordinates are fairly good "guessed" please show the newly entered system centered in the.. universe map

Early I had a similar idea, in the list of recently updated systems I added an little icon (
) you can click to change the map position. Like you said, it can be a little pain having find the newly added system on the map. I know its not ideal but at-least should make it easier for now.
