Egosoft just released the open beta of version 9.0, and the changes... are quite massive. I think that Roguey is going to have a lot of work to adapt the website...

hi there, ive been keeping an eye on the update; it does appear a big list of changes. I am kind of surprised Ego are doing this so late in the game life cycle to be honest - surely we should be talking about X5 by now, rather an X4 update?
Anyway... it depends how the changes have been done - if ego have simply changed values of things etc. then it should just a refresh of the game files, no problem. But if its massive changes to the gamefiles, then parts of the site may need to be rewritten. I might wait until its released offically to public before working on the site (I usually get things ready for release). Im thinking in case ego decide to change more parts during the beta too.
