Hi, I am struggling to figure out how the gate realignment works. Any pointers?

In FL there are no gates available to realign. It may change when you have progressed the game, but so far I have been unable to change the realignment due to no gates being available.
I consider this is the best of the 'X' games thus far, many of the gripes in the previous games are gone.

Gates can be realign after you finished the main plot.

I was unable to do ti even after completing the main plot. However, it became available directly after the update so I think it might have been a bug?
