Personally, as someone who games between PC and SX I can’t see a lot of difference between 2160p (4K) and 1440p, what I do notice is that a lot of AAA current-gen games look very similar or occasionally even outdated next to last-gen games but, they run at 4K, and now it seems like we’ll be getting new games that run at that last-gen 30fps framerate aswell. I just don’t think it’s a worthwhile trade off.

Now you’re probably about to say framerates aren’t just determined by graphical power but also CPU performance. I learnt today that Starfield can run on a near 30fps average on the steam deck despite the CPU being only a fraction as powerful as the SX.

Anyway, that’s the Ted Talk. I expect it might be a controversial opinion but hear me out anyway.
