I haven’t played a video game since 1999 (gasp!). I think that the first Max Payne game was the last thing I played.

I’d like now to get back into playing adventure / combat games but I’m worried that the latest things (eg Red Dead Redemption 2, or even the first Red Dead Redemption) might be beyond me.

Can anyone suggest to me an engaging and high quality, but slightly more rudimentary, game I can play to ease myself back into things.
