Ok. So I followed the instructions detailed in creating a new script that adds a ship to the player to the letter.
input 0, 0, 0 as the location in the same sector as I was and although I can see the ship as being owned by me I can't find it or issue it commands at all...?

001 $sector = [PLAYERSHIP] -> get sector
002 $ship = create ship: = Dragon owner = player addto = $ship (should be $sector) x=0 y=0 z=0
003 $ship -> add default items to ship
004 return null
That's just what is called out in your basic script instruction..?
Doh..I feel like a dolt...got it to work after realizing the variable I entered in line 2 was wrong...LOL

heheh, glad you worked it out. I do that sometimes - write a load of code, then do something stupid in it and wonder why it doesnt work for like 30mins

When I first played this game(short tiem after release) I seem to remember some sort of addon that put a bunch of scripts in the command menu that someone hade already worked out...any idea what that might have been?

Another question...I can't find the command to display the grid using an Ecliptic Projecter although I have one installed?

check your controls list, I think it should be listed in there.

We are here in the X3: Reunion sub forum. So it wasn't really clear that you were playing X3AP, hence why Roguey suggested to check the controls list.
In X3TC and X3AP there is no ecliptic projector. The ware that you can find in the wares list is just a remnant of the previous games. It has no function.
