I'm not disagreeing with you at all, just pointing out there are other ways. The majority of my complexes are self sufficient, always have been. Maybe I just like using CLS software Roll eyes

Once you start decentralising your products and using CLS to ship them around the possibilities are crazy, especially with mobile mining.

That said, equipping a fleet of trade ships just for that purpose is probably more expensive, or at least as expensive, as building the extra stations for a self sufficient 'plex.

Can some of you guys please help me get the cls software to work. Been trying about to get it working,
but I guess I not understanding how it works,I know what it is supposed to do but I have not got that far. Also I saw something I belive the comand of trade barrier stops the selling of those goods. I know discountue pricing stops all trade in that complex, but I prefer not to do that
as to make a few bucks.i have a complex in midnight stat where the 74 silcone is. Got it making chips but eather I jump them or I have to take a loooong way round to get ot my "home " I plan on using east of zks dommiaon.. Will i be able to have the ships go to the hub and drop off the goods? .Please help thanks

Well I personally stick with vanilla game (without bonus pack), so I cant really help you with the CLS script - hopefully someone else can Smile

I'm not sure I could handle the game without my Split turbo booster, or CLS

Or Mosquito Missile defence...and I say that as a MARS user! (MARS missile defence is great, but supplemented with MDM you can tackle a missile frigate in an M3, as long as it has turrets!).

@Scott: I can probably help you out with CLS, I've found it to be really simple actually. CAG however, can be infintely more complicated. Just set a waypoint for your pilot to pick something up and another to drop it off at whichever ship/station it needs to go to. If he needs to use a jumpdrive to get from A to B safely, make sure he's leveled up a bit first. Those are the basics, if you need a more in depth explanation feel free to ask Smile

I also do not have the bonus pack installed.

Besides that declaration, I'm happy to say that my Weed and Whiskey complex has made 100,000,000 credits, and my Disintegrator Rifle complex has made 50,000,000 credits so far.

Besides the personal-use missile complexes I am presently planning, I will definitely be adding some self-sufficient complexes to Make Me More Money!!!

How long have you been running those factories? And in what sectors.

I built one on the 26 of last month and the other on the 27th.
Game play...couple hours each day since they been built....say 3 or 4 'game-days'(?)

They are both in the Unknown sector between New Income and Montalaar.

Clarification;
My Weed and Whiskey complex is also selling extra Swamp Plant, Silicon, and Energy Cells
The Rifle Complex is selling Energy Cells, Silicon, and Chelt Meat.

Both Complexes over produce these so I made them available for sale.

Is there some way to see the actual figure that each complex has made? guessing through the graphs?

OK...here goes my first attempt to post photo's on this site.
Cross your fingers......

This is the Weed and Whiskey Complex I call Gasparilla after the local annual Pirate Festival...

And this one is the Rifle Complex I call Hard Rock after the local Casino...

Please note that I added 100,000,000 credits to each station after they came online.
Any credits above that amount are profits the station has generated.

That sounds about right. Booze and Weed sell ridiculously well, and most illegals (Disentegrator Rifles, SQUASH Mines etc.) sell well in pirate and unknown sectors. Although the game doesn't seem to use them at all, the AI still sends little pirate bands out to buy them.

@cjm3fl 100 million float in a self sufficient factory? :O I only normally give them 500k LOL. Are you at that point where you have more free cash than your account can handle?

Yeah Kirlack. I got about 1B credits in my ship account.
I put 100M credits in my Complexes at the get-go just because.
I have 4 Complexes with a 5th in storage aboard my fleet of Mammoths.

If nothing else I have enough credits at each Complex to buy myself a Boreas (M2). Wink

I always seem to spend mine as it comes in, I don't think I ever have more in my personal account than I need for my next complex

I'm just about ready to turn on the 'nids, so my bomb factories are working overtime. What doesn't get spent on more weapons goes on more, bigger, ships. Here's to war! Beer

That's pretty funny. A complex in storage. Too bad it can't operate that way, or you could go around with a fleet that includes a mobile weapon production complex on board. On board missile production, ammunition replacement, ecell refill. You could be like, Commander Adama.
