I'm planning ahead here but one question I haven't been able to find an answer to:
When I finish the Plot and get my PHQ, is there a limit to the number of different ships models that I can RE and build from this station?

It's not what someone has done..it's about what they are about to do!

I dont think there is a limit on the max. well, not that im aware of.

Good to hear.
I'm hoping to RE and build at least 8 ships from my fleet.
At least right now.
This number is likely to grow.

No, there's no limit. You can eventually have the blueprints for every ship available (except maybe the Xperimental Shuttle) and produce as many of them as you can supply resources for.
