I was wondering if you could actually board the Weapons Platform, has anyone tried this? Be funny if you could board one in a Pirate sector and use it for OOS.

One would think it could be done, since it's really just an immobile M1. I just tried though, and you get the voice alert "Warning: This ship cannot be boarded."

Jump Aran to preferred sector, get OOS and undock weapons platform.
Jump Aran out and tow platform if required...

The funniest thing would be to cap a couple of those, place them in a sector with one gate near that gate, then put about 20 lasertowers there as well and start a "Defend Station X" mission.

Hmm.. im not sure if they are boardable or not - im guessing not. The remark on the ship page was a generic yes to all M1's, as more M1's are boardable than not. I guess it needs checking

True, might get someone thinking they can. I will set to no, unless someone can prove you can board them

I will make another attempt on each of the three types some time soon just to be sure. I'll try both pods and space walk also from different menus, but I don't think they're board-able.
