Sorry my ignorance if that was already stated, but why there is no robots at all? It's something related to the lore or they just don't have it right now and plan to do it?

And I mean I'm not even talking about super realistic androids doing crazy stuff, im thinking like robots doing trivial things like being a cashier, why the hell is there a guy sitting on the middle of nowhere in the universe serving burritos on a lonely space station? He is basically a robot at this point. Or even smaller things like a cleaning drone just walking arround, a drone can goes to refil your ship, list goes on..
