So, what ARE blueprints? Stolen property? Given out to the public after some intense scanning/reengineering of the weapon/component/armor?

I mean, given the trajectory of AI in 2026, I could see something like this happening... but in the world of SC, something has to explain blueprints, because all the manufacturers would be out of business. And it's weird that after killing some rando, he would have a limitless run blueprint of some industrial marvel of tech.

So, my wish is this. Blueprints are physical, super-encrypted cards that you either buy, are awarded or taken from NPC/players, with a set number of prints allowed.

It's the only way to really explain how these manufacturers could stay in business - since, apparently a $100k fabricator can make a JS-300 with such fidelity, that you don't ever need a huge megacorp like A&R anymore.
