The Bala Gi Missions (Page 3 of 4)

Back to Kingdom End, Again

Once you have docked in Kingdom End (again) you will be told that you have been doing a very good job and will be offered a free M3+ (of your choice). I would recommend the Argon Eclipse myself. You should now have a free M3+ ship, a free M7 ship, a M6 ship (probably the Nemesis in the second unknown sector) and maybe the Nova as well. I feel Egosoft has offered way too much here. In the plot missions you never got anything good but in the Bala Gi missions you already have 3 very good ships with a few more optional ones. The M7 is really the best ship in the game as well! Now you're told that you will need to deliver a Argon Trade Dock to the shipyard in Kingdom End for materials for your HQ. Bear in mind that these stations cost around 30 million each! You will also need a TL ship or hire one to transport the station there (I would recommend your own). Again this is very much unexpected and will mean that many players will be forced to stop with the "Bala Gi missions" for quite some time until they get the money and a TL ship sorted.

Delivering the Argon Trading Dock

When you finally have a TL ship and 30 million credits jump/fly to Argon Prime with your TL ship. In Argon Prime dock at the shipyard and buy an Argon Trade Dock. You need to deliver the Argon Trade Dock to the shipyard in Kingdom End. Once you have docked in Kingdom End, you will be sent another message. You will be told that you must gather some more resources to complete the headquarters, which includes:
The Quantum tubes and the Microchips can be brought from local stations; however the "Nividium" must be mined from an asteroid. You should store each resource on your TL.

Mining

To mine "Nividium" you will need a ship capable of fitting a Mobile Drilling System, can handle XL cargo and a Ore collector. My suggestion is to head to Rolk's Fate and mine one of the asteroids that you scanned earlier in the Bala Gi Missions.

Once you have found an asteroid containing "Nividium", shoot it once with your Mobile Drilling System. The asteroid should break into medium size pieces; however these medium pieces are still too large. You will need to split them again into smaller pieces by shooting them again with a normal laser. The medium size pieces should split up into small pieces which your Ore collector should be able to collect. Target each "Small" piece and see if it's collectable by pressing "I". If it says yes, then press "O" (to lower shields and open cargo bay) and slowly drive into the small piece. Once close enough, your onboard computer should say "Cargo bay now contains Nividium". You will need to collect 15 units of "Nividium" and place on your TL.
