Gate Deployment

Once again youre be waiting around 10-15mins until you get another message from the researcher.

You are told that the gate should be working, and the best try the gate would be in Void of Opportunity. However since this is a Pirate sector, you will need to escort the science ship.

Escorting the Science ship

The Science ship will head from the west gate, all the way to the top-middle of the map, then deploy the gate:

The gate does nothing. So the researcher ponders for a moment. Maybe the Xenon Hub could be used to force open the connection, between the gate in Heretics End and Void of Oppotunity? The researcher jumps away and tells you they will re-think things for a bit. At this point you may wait around for a bit, however it will be around 10-15mins before the researcher gets back to you.

After the wait, you will be told the researcher may know how to fix the problem. So head-on over to them and ask them. They will say, that some Cartography and Hacker Chips should do the trick. But first, the researcher wants a lift to your Hub. So land on the station, and take them to Your Xenon Hub.

Once the researcher is onboard the Hub, its time to seek out some chips. Youre be told to jump to a station and contact a guy about some Cartography chips. He will give you the chips for free, however he doesnt have any hacker chips (unfortunately). To get the hacker chips will need to see someone else.

This time you have to pay 150,000 credits for the hacker chips. You have little choice, so pay them and pickup the chips from the station. You should now have a bunch of Cartography and Hacker Chips onboard your ship. Now return to the Xenon Hub.
