Xenon Hub Plot (Page 4 of 6)

Xenon Hub Plot guide

Filling the Pantry

Your next job for the Xenon is to deliver some food. So you will need to deliver the following: The mission says that you wont have to deliver all the goods yourself, as the NPC ships can deliver them too. However I found that I had to deliver all the goods. I even filled up my Aran with the supplies (120,000 units):

A full Aran

This time you will need to trade the goods with the Hub, rather than just dock. Once you have transfered all the goods, you are told that you will be contacted shortly.

Please note: There seem to be a docking issue with the Aran. If like me and you used a Aran to bring all the goods, you will need to change another ship then undock the Aran from another sector. This also happens with the Headquarters too. If you dont have a fast ship near, you could always buy a Octopus from the shipyard in Kingdom End. You will need a fast ship because you wont be able to use SETA whilst docked. This is Egosoft fault for making the ships so physically big, that they cant undock without hitting parts of the station. This could potentially end your game, as you cant undock any other way.

Once again you will be contacted about some recent events:

Urgent Bulletin
A potentially severe situation is developing. The passenger transport on which Boron Researcher Mahi Ma was travelling was intercepted by Terran ships while travelling to QueensHarbour. Report indicates that the passengers were captured and the transport scuttled, while the Terrans escaped by Jump Drive.

The Royal Boron Military Defence Council is currently convening with members of government to prepare an official response which we will broadcast promptly. Additional information can soon be found on Royal Commonwealth News feeds. We have been asked to remind you that the Boron Kingdom is not currently at war with the Terrans and their ships are not to be engaged in Boron space. However, security will be tightened in several key sectors including the Gate Hub.

Soon after:

Sergeant,

I just read the bulletin from Atreus. The latest word is that they have already decided on their response to the abduction of the Boron citizens and Mahi Ma. They will soon declare war, throwing the Boron headlong into the conflict against the Terrans. This was widely expected at some stage but the unknown factor is the Gate Hub and how it will affect the war. The Argon Government will likely suggest a joint operation involving the Gate Hub in the war, for use in mass evacuations or rapid response.

Continue working with Atreus. If the joint operation goes ahead, you may well be in the middle of it.

And...

The Boron Kingdom enters the Terran war
Following repeated provocation, the latest being the abduction of Boron citizens, the Boron Kingdom has declared war on the Terrans and is set for joint operations with the Argon in the border sectors. Atreus employees can expect further information from their supervisors regarding any changes to their tasks.

And finallly:

I assume you've heard. Things are begining to move very quickly. There is talk of a possible rescue attempt for the abducted Boron by Argon and Boron forces. Our task is to continue preparing the Hub for use, potentially even military use. Such a shame to bring war to this magnificent construction.

The next stage is restocking the Energy cells for the gate realignment. Please aid us in reaching our goal of 20,000 Energy cells.

Things arent looking good...
