Operation Loose Ends (Page 9 of 10)
Taking over the HUB
Now all the data gathering is done, you will get a message from Admiral Giorno, saying:
[player.name], this is Admiral Giorno. During an interrogation session,
Mahi Ma revealed very interesting information about the Xenon HUB. There may be chance to take over the HUB.
Report to Orbital defence station in Segaris, so we can discuss the details of the plan.
So now head to Segaris and land on the Orbital defence station. Once landed you will be sent the following messages:
Based on the information Mahi Ma finally revealed, we have come up with a plan that will hopefully enable us to take over the HUB.
The plan is as dangerous as it is simple, so we need someone with great military experience to fulfil this task, someone like you.
According to our information the Boron have already activated the HUB. Nevertheless, they still need Mahi Ma to reconfigure it. We are sure that the Boron military will take any chance to rescue him, even if they jeopardise their own safety to do so. This is the weakness we are going to take advantage of.
Using our remaining agents in the Community of Planets, we are leaking misinformation that Mahi Ma and his attendants plan to escape from Segaris. We are expecting the Boron to connect the HUB with Segaris once Mahi Ma's TP reaches the West Gate. We have already positioned our forces close enough to the gate to allow us to quickly enter the HUB, while still avoiding suspicion.
Your job is it to lead the task force by flying Mahi Ma's ship to the HUB. We have made adjustments to the life support systems so that they will think that Mahi Ma is aboard your ship. The ruse will only fool them for a short while, but hopefully it will be long enough for the fleet to enter the HUB.
Once we have entered the HUB, there is only one task: Destroy all present Argon and Boron ships and take over the HUB. We're expecting a short but intense fight. If you need to prepare, now would be the time. When you are ready, return here and our attack run can start.

So now you can leave and gather your ships and resources. When you are ready con Admiral Chianna Giorno (on the Orbital defence station) to start the mission.
When you start the mission you will be given a Boron Angel and told to enter the ship. The ship can be found docked on Orbital defence station (in Segaris). So you will need to change ship to the Boron Angel (either by teleporting, or changing when docked at the station). Now your ordered to fly through the east gate, located at 40.5km, 34km, -37km.
After reaching the Unknown sector you will see some Boron and Terran ships. You will be told that you need a combat ship. Suddenly you are given a Aamon Prototype, a unique ship which can mount both commonwealth and Terran weapons (Electro-Magnetic Plasma Cannon's):
I would suggest you get it out of harms way, and bring in another ship if you can (its only a M3+) plus its rather unique. You are told in your mission log that you must destory a ship, however you basically need to clean the sector of all Boron ships. I would recommend a M6 or better here, as there are quite a lot of ships here to kill, although you do have some helpers. Once you have killed all the Boron ships you will be given the Xenon Hub - a unique building which allows you to change the jump-gate system around, by linking the Hub sector inbetween:
The purpose of the Hub isnt explained, so if your a new player you might not understand what to do with the Hub. When targeting the station and press enter. Now you can select Gate realignment which allows you to join this hub sector between a set of gates (changing trade paths for your own ends). You will need energy cells to do Gate realignments.
