Testbed

Once you talk to Ho t'Sht, she will ask you to search for some Scientists. Each Scientist will ask you to do a job before they will join the team:

• Hatibigttab (found in Spring of Belief) - Build a Paranid computer plant at the marker,
• Yalos Yahondras (found in The Vault) - Defend the EQ dock from some Yaki,
• Loli Po (found in Depths of Silence) - Kill spacefly hunters,

When you complete the job, take the scientist to the Split Elephant in Lost Order. You will need to get within 5km to transfer the passenger to the Elephant. The mission will complete once you have collected all 3 scientists.

After a few seconds, Ho t'Sht will contact again asking you to collect some wares for them:

• 100 x 1 MJ Shields,
• 250 x Crystals,
• 500 x Computer Components,

• 100 x Hull Plating,
• 250 x Teladianium,
• 500 x Ore,

• 10 x Spaceflies,
• 250 x Matter/Anti-matter Warheads,
• 500 x Quantum Tubes,

So collect the wares and deliver them to the Elephant in Lost Order. You will need to look around the universe for most of them. Different games will have different stock-levels, at each station.

Spaceflies

Spaceflies are tricky to find, and very rarely in-stock at Pirate bases. So, you will need to find some yourself. Before you start searching for them, you will need an Ion Disruptor to stun them, Spacefly Collector and a pair of Video Enhancement Goggles. Once you have those three pieces of equipment, start your search by looking in sectors with a lot of asteroids (Ore Belt, Lost Order, Elena's Fortune, Freedom's Reach etc.).

Once in asteroid sector, use your Video Enhancement Goggles and look for any small stars that move in opposite directions of the moving stars. Spaceflies are very small, so you may need to use max magnification (on your goggles) to see them. You should know what I mean when you see it happen. If you see small stars moving in such a way - those are Spaceflies.

Now travel over there quickly and fire your Ion Disruptor to stun them. Hopefully you should see something like this happen:


Now, keep stunning them and drive into them to pick them up. The spaceflies will not be stunned for long. You will probably need to find two batches of spaceflies, to get enough for the mission.


It is rumoured that waiting in a sector (near an asteroid) with no speed can encourge the spacefiles.

However, still nothing? They are restocked at the Military base at Depth Of Silence, and the Strong-Arms HQ every 1-2hrs.
