Now that I am fine with tresure hunt, want to do this one next. Tried serval time to do first mission but no go.I am using my argon cantorDo I need a diffentE. THE oxneon is simple ,pound him with4cgl then couole of hornets left and gone.the px is harderusily I die,where are rt he loxal?and we here iis the extermantor? Any ideas? bold text

Can't remember the specifics about this. I *think* if everybody dies its up to you.
those PXs are really mean. I don't know what a cantor is but it might be possible to distract it long enough with some fighter drones while you get in there and melt it. ten mk2 drones should be able to kill it.
When I did this my fight rank was pretty high. Also had a m7m and m2
IIRC i used a boreas on that part because there were a bunch of Qs in there also. then used the m7m on the random missions it gives you.
I made it a point to get my fight rank as high as possible before doing the last mission, but even at "Overlord" rank only 5 destroyers spawned and 2 carriers.

I dont think to be honest I completed the Final fury plot - maybe I should some-time. Is that the mission in Argon M148?

Yea, its a pain too. not as bad as balance of power but still annoying. It kept giving me a bunch of escort missions, gah.

hmm.. I do remmeber doing a loads of escort missions in Argon M148, and I I remmeber some quite large ships being thrown in there too.

I finally got enough stats with the boron to get a thresher I hope it would work good
now i have to sell a few things to get one.

The thresher is a good ship: It can fit like 10 PPC's on the front for major capital ship damage, as well a bit of anti-fighter in the turrets.

hmm i back to square one The thresher is a good ship. but not good against more nimble craft. I tried it twice and wow got killed both times.
I be.live the big reason is simple maneuverability. All those roids ect make it hard to move around. Going back to the heavy nemmuis and try somethign else. I do belive another mistake I may have made is my fighting rep might make it a bit more harder. I noticed on some protect missions. getting more and bigger attackers.does any one know any thing about this?

The higher your fighting rep and the bigger/stronger the ship you "fly", the harder the missions will be...the more, and bigger your opponents.
This is part of the game.
I fly an M7, but always have an M2 nearby to help me out.

and with larger ships, comes larger reward. It would kind-of suck if you had an M2, and faced such 2 or 3 M5's. I always thought it scaled with your fighting rep only - not your current ship however.

Let me try this again...had a post just about ready, and I hit a wrong set of keys and lost it 
Anyway, way shorter version follows:
In my M7 docked at a shipyard, accepted a very high-priced "protect the station" against a Xenon attack mission.
Came up against three Q's, some L's, and lots of M's and N's.
Got smoked.
Re-loaded, accepted again...same three Q's, L's, M's and N's...smoked again.
Tired of getting smoked so I jump into my M2 before I accept the mission.
Had to battle two K's and a good number of escorts. Thank goodness I was in my Titan and not my Python.
I won, but it was tough.
On a hunch, I re-loaded two more times.
First re-load, in my M7--3 Q's and escorts.
Second time, in my M2--two K's and escorts..I did better at this one then the first M2 battle, so I stopped re-loading.
I did find out during different times, if you accept a mission in an M7 then jump into an M2, you get the M7 opponents.
I found the same to be true while playing out a Plot mission.

Ive hit the wrong button a few times myself, annoying when that happens.
Ah, thanks for testing - never knew your current craft effected what was summoned, I just thought it was completely random

Finally got thru it.Had to reload to before I got my thrasher.Had just got Heavy meniours m6, it got destroyed by a bunch of pirates.Anyhow I lost my cantor helping me,I sent it to the equ dock before I got to the area to toaccept the mission.Hadto play hide and seejin variousplants. Anyway to get extermantors as ship?Now I need HEAVY M6 any ideas on whichone?I have no ships bigger my ex shuttle and getting fot rhe next.final mission . Thanks

Well the Argon Heavy Centaur (M6) is a good ship apart from being a bit slow. What are you looking for in an M6+?
