I'm really hoping that "gaining new technologies" is the hub and phq. that would be very sweet for a terran start.

dif. would be useful, the Terran's really need access to the PHQ. I guess if they are in a plot, then it must be a bit longer - well thats if they dont simply give them to you. Seeing we had a main plot and sub.

whohoo terran plot , by the way any one know if you will be abile to get there plot going on lets say a argon start ?
nothing like a crispy argon pilot being eating by a split while a boron slave sirves drinks aaaa what a joy war is .

something i had suggested before is that EGOSOFT makes a Terran PHq, so different model, same functionality and so on but in the Terran or ATF style. that would allow them to do a slightly longer single plot rather than multiple mini plots and perhaps gain access to the Terran PHq and perhaps HUB.
the HUB could be done by the Terrans originally fighting the opposite side of the current HUB plot, trying to disrupt the Boron in there ventures, and when they connect to the Terran sectors you could launch an offencive against them and take the HUB.
i honestly cant see EGOSOFT making many more updates to AP since Rebirth is due out relativly soon so they might try something to that effect to "complete" the game in one bash, after that it could be smaller preformance or bug fix patches.

I guess ego are using X3AP as a bigger stopgap, since rebirth has got delayed. However its took them 7 months to add a Terran plot? - I felt it was something which should of been part of X3AP to start (how disapointed was I when I first selected the Terran start). Oh well, I guess its something to do in the mean time.

We are pleased to announce that X3: Albion Prelude 2.5 is now available! The latest update includes a new Terran plot and a number of bugfixes.
While defending the Terran territory against continuous attacks, the USC high command has been prepairing a secret mission to weaken the war efforts of the Commonwealth races for quite a while. Now the time to start "Operation Loose Ends" has come.
In a series of covert operation missions the player will be sent deep behind enemy lines to help the Terran Federation getting the better of the war again. Rewarded with new technologies the player will be able to change the universe even more than before.
As well as adding a new plot, the latest development also eradicated some annoying bugs. Amongst others, the ATF rank is linked to the Terran rank now, war ships give player escorts more time to leave the war sectors and war ships will no longer try to self-destruct, once they have been captured. As usual the complete changelog can be found in the documents folder of your X3 Terran Conflict addon directory.
X3: Albion Prelude 2.5 is available now for download over Steam. The Steam client will automatically update your game to the latest version, provided it has not been configured to prevent this.
As always we'd like to thank our loyal army of community members, testers and volunteer developers for their contribution to making this update the success we hope it will be.

well i dont know about the HUB as i probably wont have the time to sit down and play this update till the weekend, but i was right, they made a brand new PHq for the Terran side, from what i understand it is the same in stats and function but if the model veiwer is anything to go by its HUGE in comparison, which could be interesting to see if that means ships like the Kyoto/Megalodon etc can dock at it without blowing up!!

does anyone know if its possible to make a proper game start? like one that appears on the main starting screen?
if its possible how hard would it be to make for someone like myself who hasnt modded x3 before?
im thinking it would be interesting to make a gamestart (even if it makes you modified) that would allow you to do both Terran and Argon plot starts, therefore allowing you to get access to both PHq's and the HUB as well as all other rewards. perhaps make it some sort of Yaki or Pirate start, just make the triggering criteria a bit harder, like youd need to be negative rank with opposing side and like rank 8-9 with that race before it would trigger a plot start.

just thought id point out This Topic on the Egosoft Forums, it lets you bring back the Freight Drone Exploit, meaning you can clone PHq's in Vanilla AP
