Sooo ages ago a captured an aran then sold it coz i was very stupid Sad

now i captured a Sniper

valhalla and i need to find another one (coz i cant be stuffed hunting for a jump beacon to move the valhalla to my hq) but read after capturing the aran once it stops spawning in unfocused sectors. i jumped 500 ish times and nada zilch. Sad

so my questions are is there anyway to capture another one?
if not is there a way of acquiring one without getting modified tag on save (trying to get achieves)?
and if aran spawns are disabled on save is there a way to re-enable it?

You only get one ever. Even starting the script editor makes the game modified. You would have to get a save game from someone else and play it or find an ancient save and go back to that.

Sorry to say, but if you would of reverse-engineered the Aran you can have as many as you want. If I remember correctly there is a tag that is set once you acquire the Aran. The only way to reset the tag is to modify the code. I did make a modified version of the random sector code that allowed more ships to be spawned, cargo etc. as I felt the random sectors were a bit of a wasted opportunity. So much more could of been done with it.
