The upstairs project 2005 (Page 6)

Finishing off

After the speaker plates were installed, an list was created for all the finishing jobs which need to be done. This included installing blinds on the windows, repairing any damaged paint work from moving stuff around, tiding up the room, sorting the tools out, installing the network hub, installing an 8,000/BTu air condition unit and finally moving the av/computer equipment and installing it.

Thee jobs went fairly quickly, however wasnt done in a job - some of the equipment was heavy (upto 30kg per item).

After all the equipment was installed, everything needed to be setup for the new room area, including the 5.1 system etc. This of-course was an very easy and nice job to do.

All there is to do now is to show you the picture of the completed room, however at the moment there wasnt enough money to get an hifi rack for the equipment, nor for an nice TFT (30"+) which will hopefully be fitted on the wall, maybe an nice company maybe offer me one, hint, hint. The center speaker also isnt in its right home due to the lack of the larger TFT. At the moment there is an 19" TFT being used as an half way solution.

Here is an picture of the upstairs looking into Area 1, completed:

Moving back in

Here is another picture of the upstairs looking into Area 2, completed (however still needs some clearing):

The other end

The next two pictures are looking more closely at the AV stuff, the the picture is looking to the left more:

A closer look

And then looking to the right:

Slightly different view

Now onwards to the AV Rack.
