Day fourteen

So today is 2 weeks in, and we managed to take old the plasterboard (both layers), removed the fibreglass, installed four windows and started the insulation. The main thing today was to finish off the insulation in the wall and around the windows. Its kind-of a boring job - pushing some foam between into joists and pushing up some sealed fibreglass around the windows. We did manage to complete today;



Now the next thing was to work out how we would get the plasterboard around the window. This needs to be done before plasterboard can go on the main wall. It took some working out, but I think we have a plan for tomorrow. We installed our first piece of plasterboard today - albeit rather small bit. It does make it feel a bit closer to be finished now;



So tomorrow will be the real start of the plasterboard stage. After Sunday we will returning to a normal week and only be doing this during the weekends and possibly an odd hour or two during the weekday. So progress will be much slower then. The main thing we wanted done was all four windows installed, which was done a few days ago.
