Day sixteen

Today is the last day of dad's holiday time. Originally we thought we would be working one week, taking a break then maybe doing another week. Anyway, it is now Sunday, 19th of June. Things started fairly slow today - dad had to take some tools back to work (seeing as tomorrow is Monday). When he returned we started working on the third window - building a frame to support the plasterboard.

However when I looked at the plasterboard state, we only had four sheets (not enough). So I knew we had to head-out and get some more supplies. Its not really going to possible to get them after dad's work - as the roads will be very busy (with rush hour traffic). Getting supplies isnt hard, it just takes time - an hour or so goes without being able to do much. Today we picked up some more plasterboard, a box of filler, masking tape and some other bits for later. When we got back we managed to get up-to the third window with plasterboard;



Its good to have most of the insulation behind some plasterboard. The other night one piece felt out, and I thought dad had fell out of the chair or something. The insulation is only wedged between two joists (and wood moves slightly).

So now things will probably slow down quite a bit - I think dad plans to do a few odd hours in the evening (but thats not going to allow us to do much). I do have a few things I can do without him - like draw where all the lights go (so we know where to cut for the lights). I also plan to take over when we at the filling and painting stage - as I actually do that better without any help. Anyway this is how things look now;
