Day eleven

So after a lot effort during the past couple of days, it was time to get the insulation material and do a bit of tidy up. The upstairs was getting a bit messy with tools, tiles and some black-sacks for the recycling center. So first thing dad took the black-sacks to the recycling center.

On his return we headed out and picked up some insulation material. I say some because when we loaded up the car, we found that only half of it got into the car. We ask the staff if it was okay to leave the half with them - so we could drop off the first batch then return to pick-up the rest. They said they were fine with that, so dropped off the first batch, and returned to the store to pick-up the second batch. This meant lunch was a bit later then scheduled.

After lunch it was time to move the tiles and tidy things up. So today was mostly about tidying up;



We also dissembled the old two windows (which were outside). It was a shame in a way, seeing the windows were with us for 30 years (I dont know why us humans get attached to inanimate objects). Anyway... so tomorrow we will be inserting the insulation - it does feel like there is a bit of a draft. I guess this isnt helped with the poor weather - well, atleast its giving the new windows a test.
