The upstairs project 2016 (Page 24)

Preparing for plastering

So today was dad's second half a day. The main thing today was getting some supplies for the weekend, otherwise this will take time during the weekend (time we want for plastering). So during today and Friday evening we will be preparing the upstairs for plastering. Plastering can be fairly messy, so its a good idea to mask-up any important surfaces and have the floor covered. However quite a bit of time was used getting our supplies (dad seemed to have bucket-envy);

After getting some supplies.

So when we returned (and unloaded), we made a good on the scrim, masking and covering. Dad also re-checked one of the windows, where he found that two parts of the water channel where missing (left/right of the window, externally) - this was fixed. Below is a picture showing you how I would like to do the wall/floor protection - if we have enough dust-sheets (doesnt matter if the duct-tape pulls some of the paint off. ill just re-fill it).

Starting to get ready for plastering.

So there is a little bit of time tomorrow, but it looks well on-track for plastering over the weekend. If we can get the plastering done during the weekend (being optimistic), the next stage will be filling and painting (something ill do on my own). Painting/filling may take me a week or so, but I can divert a lot of time to get it done.
