ohhh.. damn, problem with posting messages on the forum... Well its now fixed, so you should be able to post on the forum again! Dance

Added a few more avatars, and fixed some more stuff. That's the trouble when you re-design things: the 'old code' was written for the older system. Looks like the trophy boost system is back online - that was messed up:dizzy

This is just a suggestion, but have you thought about adjusting/tweaking the experience bar to change color each time you gain a new lvl? IE: Have it Royal blue (or whatever color it is right now) upto lvl 1, possibly a lighter/paler blue for lvl 1 - 2, maybe very light blue for lvl 2-3, various shades of green for lvl 3 - 5, various shades of yellow for lvl 5 - 10, various shades of silver for lvl 10 - 15, all the way upto gold for the highest lvl.... (I don't know what the max lvl is, so take this idea as a thumbnail sketch..

)

You may be able to refine that even further, but that idea just sprang out at me as I was writing this reply.... Keyboard typing

Sorry about that, the problem was actually because php was converting quotes like ' and ", into slash ' slash " and it was trying convert them back and forth. I had another look at it, so all the main actions have been changed - so hopefully this wont be a problem again. Its basically a way of PHP trying to protect itself. This post gave it a good test with all these quotes in it!

The trouble with my coding is that I normally do it on the main pages without testing everything ROFL

hmmm.. the colour thing could be possible, like you said going from a black to a gold or something, however doing it on the exp bar would be rather complex as its a picture than just standard 'text' which could be changed. It wouldn't be as complex on your name although.

will remember to come back more often, just have to find times between trying to complete various xbox360 games and life in general to get on the computer, may even try a re-install of x3 and the mod

things are fine, been having some time away from x, been trying to get hold of x gold, just to go back to when there was no real problem with autopilot, Dance

Have you made any changes to 3.1? as i sort of remember you mentioning that there was a 3.2 on the way

Edit :- as a side note, me and hawklord (whos internet is down at the moment) occasionally go back to X2 for fun and frolicks, wondering if you still have your X2 mod floating about somewhere for our consumption

there are a lot of changes in v3.2: 14+ ships, 5+ sectors, more fixes. v3.21 is the most up-to-date version, which includes the updated classic rules v1.2, updated readme's and the removal of the Argon Naja (this ship looked too smiliar to another and had to be removed encase the mod is included onto egosoft superbox collection - I have signed it to be).

I know what you mean about the autopilot, its probably not improved much since X2 but had more stuff to smash into, earning it's name suicidal pilot.

It is good to see you guys about again!:d

Well we call the autopilot the autopillock, but from what i heard the programming for the pilot has stayed the same all the way through every game, where in the first one the sectors and stations were small enough to get round, in x3 they are just too large and the autpilot suddenly decides to fly through the station way too often..

Oh and any news on the x2 mod? or section?

ooh.. the X2 section.. I forgot about that. I know I need to get around to doing that.

I have 'thrown' an X2 subdomain together - basically so you can access the mods, here:

I will finish off the X2 section but should work enough for now. I put it together within 10mins! Eek

pity we cant upgrade all the ships to look more modern in X2 now, sure you could lose polys by making them all one mesh .... but thats only my thinking, lol
