oh and nova, your a mod. Bare in-mind this forum is still work-in-process (atm you cant edit other people's posts, but you can lock, stick, delete or move).

Hiya Roguey & Peeps, Wave

@ Roguey......
Cheers for making me a Mod, mate! Dance
Yes, I'm well aware this forum is still a WIP (work in progress) & subject to change at your slightest whim..... Angel :p Roll eyes LOL

Basically all I do in my other Moderator roles is keep an eye on things (&/or people) on the forum & correct the odd typo or three (in posts/threads) as needed, clip people under the ear if they don't play nice & follow the forum rules, that sort of thing... :p Siren Roll eyes

Oh & I have on occasion been known to give the boss(es) lip about their own conduct on the forum..... :p LOL ROFL Leave

Cheers & Thranx

PS Thought just occurred to me, we're going to need some way of differentiating Mod(s)/Admin from regular forum members.. (In your case not strictly needed as the forum bears your name... Roll eyes)
I know over on TXU, we have "badges" denoting various access rights & on the other forum my name is a completely different color (in this case; green) to standard members....

change without Subject to notice.... :p watch this space... (<-- --> this one, not that one.. --> <-- Spit LOL)

Sounds fine m8. Ill add either some colour-coding or text so its easier to pick out the admin/mods - like you said its hard to see who has what rights.

I also need to add the ability to edit other people's posts and then add who edited it.

Just recently I been working a lot on the arcade - any chance you could give it a test?

do you think sigs are worth adding? im not sure - can be messy (looks cleaner without).

also, which forums do you mod on (just wondering),

How do those forum's do? do you get many posts on them per day?

Just on a side note, names are now colour-coded (I wanted to keep the left box compact), more games have been added to the arcade and I have added 30 x X3 people avatars.

[update].. hmmm.. looking around the net at other X3 sites, very little of them link back to me Cry maybe this is why my site is struggling a bit a the mo?

@ Roguey.....
Hiya mate,
Sorry about not replying earlier....

In answer to your question about the other two (2) forums, TXU is the most prolific by far (one whole section of the forum is devoted to the german members of the forum, not that it means much to some of them, as they can also speak/write english {as well as other more exotic languages} as well), whereas X3Starsystems only ends up with a few posts every now & then.....

Ah, so would you say there is less activity around X3/TC? hopefully this super-box will bring some more life into X games. This is why I started up a PS3 section but that also isnt fairing well
:bricks

Have you gave the arcade go yet? any problems/suggestions?

Hiya Roguey & Peeps, Wave

@ Roguey...
Hiya mate,
Well, over on TXU, a fair bit of the activity in the english section revolves around the new mod they're working on for TC {currently undergoing a closed/in-house beta test..}, some activity seems to be related to stuff in XTM, as well as, stuff related to X3:R & TC in general...

No, I haven't given the Arcade a go yet, but intend to very soon (within the next day or so).. Will let you know how it goes for me.... Nod

Been a bit busy the past day or so with Dr's appointment (He wanted to let me know my next Diabetes related blood test was due soon.. I thought I had to see a Diabetes Nurse, rather then my GP, from the way the receptionist reacted... ROFL), so haven't tried out the Arcade yet, tomorrow I have to lodge my Unemployment Benefits (aka dole form) form at the dole office & do a quick bit of shopping for myself.. (provided the store has what I want {a webcam} in stock... Roll eyes)

I hope the test goes okay m8! I did think that you seemed a little inactive recently, and I understand things can be busy sometimes (just that myself).

hmm.. I dont know if I need to install any more games now - we are up-to 38 now! I just found some of my old ones from my old phpbb2 arcade. This new arcade is coded my me, so it should work ROFL

.. however, its not so tried and tested like those re-made arcades. Do you remember the old arcade?

Hiya Roguey, Wave

Damn, I need to learn to type faster it seems.... ROFL
While I was busy editing my previous comment to add more to it, you were busy replying to it.... LOL

Yeah, hopefully, this next test I have done (in a couple of weeks time) will show that my blood glucose (blood sugar) lvl's have come down from what they were.... (they were up around 8.6 or something like that... Eek) my own fault the reading was so high... 'cause I had pigged out on sugary sweets (lollies) & softdrink {pepsi cola} the night before the test..... Embarassed {I got a sweet tooth alright? :p Roll eyes LOL ROFL}

If the lvl's are still high this time (god, I hope not....), he's going to have to adjust/up my medication again.. this time from three (3) tablets a night to four (4), the max he can go before switching me to different tablets....

Oh yeah, one more thing.... I might not be around for a day or so at the end of this month as I have to go have a Heart Monitor test done to find out what's actually wrong with my heart, so they can work out what medication to give to control it....
Dr thinks I have this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_QT_syndrome {Specifically LQT1}, so he sent me off to a specialist who confirmed I do have an irregular heart beat & is sending me off for this heart test {I have to wear a heart monitor for 24hrs so they can determine what condition I actually have}....

Ahh, the joys of discovering serious health problems in ya 40's........ Roll eyes Bricks

Well, that's enough moaning & groaning from me about my health issues.... (:dance Banana step dancing <-- Roguey's reaction upon reading that comment... :p LOL ROFL Laugh)

:eek I wont pretend I know much about this kind-of stuff, will some medication fix your heart beat, when they know which kind it is?

Although that test doesnt sound very fair, since you pigged out on sugary sweets! Its bound to be lower.... well, depending you havnt ate another bucket load of sugary sweets the night before .... again! :p

you could look at it another way: at-least you know what you got and are having medication for it. Surely it would be much worse not to know about all this and not seek medical advice.

Hiya Roguey & Peeps, Wave

@ Roguey.....
Hiya mate,
Yeah, that's what this test is all about basically, they're going to test my heart rhythm (heart beat) to find out what's happening with it, so they can then say: "Ok, THIS is the medication for you.. take it xyz times abc"....

I think I'll get mum to drive me up to get the heart monitor fitted on the day of the test..... Hmm, then again knowing the way mum drives (:dizzy Dizzy), I think I'd better drive meself up..... Driving Driving Driving Driving Driving Driving Driving Driving Driving Driving Exp Cuss Exp Cuss <-- me swearing at the idiots in front of me who drive at 10km/h SLOWER then the posted speed limit.... they're also sometimes the one's "who've never had an car accident in their life" and "are a careful driver", only because they've caused a few accidents with their slow driving..... Roll eyes

Hmm.. reading that makes me sound like a sick, bitter, twisted induhvidual...... Spit Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod LOL

Its probably best to take your mum with you, not just for the 'crazy driving' :P but for moral support (those places aren't exactly fun and I had my fair share of them just recently). You would also not need to worry about driving which is stressful too.

My dad is a bit of a mixture of both, drives too fast on the roads he knows then drives 55mph on a motorway. ... Its a freaking motorway: you can go 70mph!..... Poke

Hiya Roguey & Peeps, Wave

@ Roguey....
Hiya mate,
It's no so much mum's a crazy driver, as she seems to spend more time looking at the houses on either side of the road then looking at traffic in front of us on the road....
I get the feeling she's not even aware she's doing that, whenever she drives the car.... (We rent a house {we also expect the rent to up again shortly, the landlord keeps complaining he's always out of pocket as far as the mortgage on the house is concerned & yet he can always afford to go out the club for tea/dinner every night when he's up & on overseas holidays every few months.. Whatever} & mum wants to get us a house of our own... that's all she seems to think/dream about.... Her fav complaint is "Why can't WE have that? Why wont the universe let us have that?" Roll eyes)

Whenever I'm in the car & she's driving, I get really tense/anxious about the cars in front of us because, as I said, mum seems to spend 95% of the time looking out the side window at all the houses..... My heart rate would be going thru the roof if I had the heart monitor on & she was driving.... LOL ROFL

I know exactly what the test involves as I had it done a few months ago (well.. a halter monitor test anyway Big grin), although not quite like this one I expect....

Cheers & Thranx Whatever

that reminds me of a quote from Family guy "oh, piece of candy... oh, piece of candy... " - I dont know if you watch that? I can see why you would be nervous with your mum driving, when she's rubbernecking every single house.

Are you sure that those pills aren't just different coloured smarties?
