TEL L Beam Turret Mk1 (ware)

The Beam Turret is an entry-level defensive weapon system commonly selected by operators for its low acquisition cost. Its extensive effective range and high targeting accuracy make it particularly suitable for missile defence duties. While the weapon is effective against shielded targets, its damage output decreases as shields are depleted, limiting its effectiveness against exposed hull structures.

The L Beam Turret is an upgraded variant of the standard system, offering increased emitter capacity and sustained output. However, as with smaller variants, effectiveness against hull structures is reduced once shields are fully depleted. In single, forward-facing configurations, the system is nevertheless commonly employed to disrupt travel drive operation.
