This comparatively lightweight freighter became the de-facto standard option for trading among Sol's citizens during the Jump Gate shutdown. The time during which the model was initially developed was an unusually peaceful period in Terran history, so the first models did not include significant defensive capabilities or particularly impressive hull reinforcement. Newer iterations, however, have since added an array of turrets along its flanks to discourage the more belligerent inhabitants of the Gate network.
