his over-clocking thing. I can't find any crates. Are they just in Pirate sectors, do I just have to look around?

They are in Pirate sectors, however they will not show (even if passed). The only way to get them to show up on your map, is by deploying a satellite in range.

And it's still quicker to tow it!
I had a Heavy Osprey called Nostromo doing that for my Aran in TC.
My Katana did it for the Kyoto till I got it to 70m/s, I still haven't found another crate since...
They're also supposed to be available in UFJD sectors.

Somewhere out there is a Cobra Mk III with my name on it.
It isn't mine, some rando actually wrote my name across the side of his ship...

Well I would like to make my Aran faster than towing - although my plan is to get it fast enough to be usable (its getting there... slowly

). At 12m/s its too slow.

Since someone wanted a save game which showed my multiple weed complexes working (I guess if you place them too close, customers will only go to one or the other not both), I posted a save for them to see how it worked fine for me. Now, I figure I can share that same save with any of you who might want to see my fleet.

If you use the I's in that save, I have a freighter assigned to automatically refill their missiles whenever you jump them back to the unknown sector my HQ is in. All capitals in that sector will also automatically have their jump fuel refilled upon re-entering the sector, and the Guppy has its jump fuel, and missiles refilled automatically. If you use the extra fuel or missiles in the Drake that is docked at the Guppy, run the CLS2 script it has and it will automatically refuel those as well, but you will need to manually redock it at the Guppy.

i really like the aran but ya it is so very slow,i got a jump beacon just for it becuz it was to hard for it to get where i wanted to park it in the system i have my HQ and complex in.i mainly use it for taxi service of captured ships.

Don't you think naming a ship "Angel" is a bit confusing, considering that the Angel is also a class of ship?

i would name the Angel Class ship 'Angels Express', that and i can keep track of the names and Class of ships by where(Location) it is

I don't know Seygantte. If there is a reason for giving a ship a certain name, like naming if after someone that you know, it's not too terribly confusion.
In my TC game I named my Angel TP 'Angel'..so original I know. Dizzy

But I have 3 Demeter Super XL freighters, the first 3 of this class I got. I named them after my step-son, nephew, and nephew's girlfriend...so one of the Demeter XL's names is 'Demeter Super Freighter XL Angel' after the girlfriend. Technically giving me 2 ships named 'Angel'.

Before I completed the OFF Plot and got the Griffon I had named one of my Dragon M6's 'Gryphon'.
I named the Griffon after the M2 ship that she will (mainly) escort.

Now, a word about naming small craft to Jack.
I did the same thing in the beginning of my game. Named them as I acquired them.
Now that my fleet consists of 188 permanent ships (and growing still), I only name fighters as such; 'Nova Raider 1,2,3, etc.'
Those fighters that I have with a "name" still carry the name. This way I know which one of the Nova Raiders have been with me since the beginning.

That's a nice collection of ships, so far.
Are you planning on growing your trading fleet or thinking of getting something with so heavy fire-power soon?
With me, the biggest firepower I have in the beginning of my game were the Boa TM and the fighters they carried.

It's not what someone has done..it's about what they are about to do!

I am slowly building up my money to get some Terran Warships, then Argon warships, then split because even though they dislike me they pay well, my 2nd mission with them netted me 250k for a millitary transport of 3 people

Sounds like your building up a nice little fleet there.. although I dont see any M6's, did you miss them?

no pictures yet, and i am working on finding a good M6 (the only ones i can buy are Terran/ATF and Teladi) it takes forever to find the amount of M/AML for a Terran M6, and the Teladi are too slow, that and i am currently trying to find enough Weps. to outfit my new Aegir and my new Tyr i will have an updated list soon it just might take a while because i have more ST/UT's
