I don't have any fancy names to share since I name all my ships numerically. I won't bore you with fighters as it's an assorted and ill-equipped bunch, but here's my current capital ship status:

How are those Pirate M1's and M2's?
I have a number of the Carrack M7 and like them for the task I've assigned.
I'm thinking of 'going down there' and increasing my fleet some more.

The Brigantines are pretty much just really big Carracks. Respectable armaments and excellent turret coverage. I load it up with IBLs in the fore and aft, and Gauss Cannons on the sides because IBLs are in short supply. They fair well against those pesky Xenon incursions, but TBH I didn't set out with them in mind. They just sort of accumulated while I was training up marines...
The Galleons are ok, but I prefer my Raptors. I like my carriers to have big hanger bays, and the ability to run away.

This is when I collected my 6 Carracks. It's a nice little pass-time while waiting!
The Galleons are ok, but I prefer my Raptors. I like my carriers to have big hanger bays, and the ability to run away.

My first, and presently only, M1 is a Raptor.
I was looking at the 25 docking spaces on the Galleon and thinking they might make half-decent Sector defense ship/base.
I'll have to cap one and give it a try.
I have plenty of various fighters and interceptors that need a permanent 'home'.

right now i am trying to arm my Shrike so far i have got
Front - None(Deciding on what to put here, Ether CIG's or ISR, i cant get IBL's because i have no marines and the pirates hate me..)
Right - 2 GC
Left - 2 GC
Top - 2 FAA
Bottom - 2 FAA
Rear - None (Thinking about EBC, if i can find some...)

What you have so far is how my Shrike is armed.
For the rear turret, you might think about missile defense and I have found the PRG and the PBE really good at this job.
Mixing CIG's and ISR up front is something I do with pretty good success.
Many of my M6's and M7's are set up this way.
I found enough IBL's for my Shrike so I have those up front on her.
Keep looking, I'm sure you will find them then you can change your weapons load-out!

I have plans to built a Complex for those and FAA's, also in limited number in my game.
I found EBC's great as anti-fighter defense---those few that I have.
I've placed them on a few of my freighters. Finding ammo is also an issue for me.

ammo i find easily its the weapon itself that takes forever to find in my game, miss typed the name for my Tyr it is 'Fire Dragon' not 'Fore Dragon'

Well if you struggle find equipment, usually the best way is to build a complex with factories you want. You probably end up with more equipment than you need then lol
